As Policy Director for the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs, Leslie J. Frazier’s responsibilities include creating the secretariat’s legislative package, working with the Governor’s senior policy team and members of the General Assembly to track and influence legislation, and researching Virginia’s veterans and defense initiatives to improve state programs in comparison to competing states. Prior to joining the administration, Frazier worked as a Field Organizer on President Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012 and Governor McAuliffe’s campaign in 2013, helping to turn out record numbers of voters in South Hampton Roads. She then worked on Governor McAuliffe’s inaugural committee as the Hampton Roads Ball Lead, planning a ball that honored Virginia’s veterans, military, and their families. Frazier received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Spanish from the University of Virginia and her Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Virginia Tech.
